Cecchin Cashes In on Leftovers

Week 4 | Fancy Football X

Dan’s Winning Recipe

Congratulations to Dan Cecchin, who earned the crown with 171.48 points and a lineup powered by the week’s biggest scorer. Tetairoa McMillan delivered 48.20 points at $6,200, while Bijan Robinson added 30.70 and Chuba Hubbard supplied another 28.90.

Dan also squeezed 23.48 points from Jared Goff into a stars-heavy build featuring Jahmyr Gibbs. Even with Kalif Raymond scoring just 2.60, Dan held off Michael Bordes by 3.70 points.

Dan was the 10th person in Fancy Football history to earn Leftovers, winning the week with at least $300 left over. The victory raised his season-best score to 171.48 and moved his total winnings to a league-high $95.

McMillan Builds the Winning Block

At 48.20 points, Tetairoa McMillan was both the slate’s highest scorer and its defining selection. He appeared in six lineups, including four of the top five: Dan, Bill Weller, Ben Maier and Ben Weller.

Michael Bordes was the lone member of the top four without him. Instead, Michael rode 44.30 points from CeeDee Lamb, 36.70 from Kyren Williams and 28.90 from Chuba Hubbard to finish second at 167.78. Bill claimed third with 163.38 after pairing McMillan with the lightly drafted Kyle Monangai, whose 31.00 points at $4,900 were among the week’s best values.

The Chalk Traps

Several popular picks pulled lineups in the opposite direction. Seven contestants paid $6,500 for Parker Washington and received only 2.00 points; Jake Chrystal, in 18th, was the only one of those seven to finish in the winning half.

The expensive Ja'Marr Chase was an even harsher setback, scoring 5.70 points at $8,100. All five contestants who drafted him finished 22nd or worse. Meanwhile, the widely selected Jahmyr Gibbs returned a respectable 17.70 points, but his 42.1% draft rate made him far less decisive than the explosive, lower-owned options.

A 0.46-Point Pay Line

Dale Strong captured the final top-half finish with 121.16 points, surviving a lineup that included just 4.30 from David Montgomery. Alycia Holmes landed immediately below the cut at 120.70, missing a win by only 0.46 points despite 44.30 from CeeDee Lamb and 28.90 from Chuba Hubbard.

In the young season standings, Ben Maier’s fourth-place finish made him the only contestant to start 4-for-4. He now sits atop the table after another strong week led by McMillan, Robinson and Gibbs.
