Michael wears the crown

Congrats to Michael Bordes, who cashed in a balanced build and claimed the Week 7 crown with 174.3. The engine of the lineup was a thunder-and-lightning backfield: Jahmyr Gibbs (39.8) and Jaylen Warren (22.8) both smashed, while the heavily rostered Quinshon Judkins (26.4) and steady Courtland Sutton (16.7) kept the floor high. The chalky-but-right Patriots D/ST (19.0) did its part too. Even with a quiet day from Drake London (8.2) and low output from Baker Mayfield (12.1), Michael separated by avoiding the week’s landmines and leaning into the right chalk.

The chase pack

Nick Rohrbeck nearly ran him down behind a nuclear Christian McCaffrey (42.1) and value at TE with Tucker Kraft (16.8), finishing just 3.9 back. Eric Wilde rode the same Christian McCaffrey heater plus Chris Olave (26.8) for third. Dan Cecchin’s fourth-place tally was powered by a vintage eruption from Ja'Marr Chase (41.1), but the chalk sinkhole Jacory Croskey-Merritt (4.2) capped his ceiling. Charlie Weller rounded out the top five with the savvy combo of Ja'Marr Chase, single-bullet Joe Flacco (29.0), and Panthers D/ST (17.0).

Chalk hits, chalk whiffs

• Hits: Rashee Rice (23.2; 34.2% drafted) and Quinshon Judkins (26.4; 36.8%) paid off their popularity.
• Whiffs: Drake London (8.2; 31.6%), Rome Odunze (5.1; 23.7%), and especially Caleb Williams (5.7; 23.7%) dragged a lot of builds. The biggest crater was Jacory Croskey-Merritt (4.2; 31.6%), a true week-tilter for anyone who clicked him.

Differentiators and hidden gems

Low-rostered smashes were the story for climbers:

• Bo Nix (40.0; drafted by two) swung contests for Ben Maier (6th) and Colin Santee (11th).
• Joe Flacco (29.0; drafted by one) helped fuel Charlie Weller’s surge.
• Oronde Gadsden II (32.4; drafted by one) was a bargain hammer for Kyle Gagnon, even if the rest of the lineup couldn’t capitalize.
• One lonely bullet on Browns D/ST (25.0) by Mike Mckenna was a gem that his other pieces couldn’t quite amplify.

On the pain side: zeros from Mike Evans, George Kittle, Jameson Williams, and Luke McCaffrey, plus a brutal negative from Jaguars D/ST (-4), sunk hopes across the board.

Standings snapshot

Cameron Mahoney’s six-week heater finally cooled, but he still holds the overall lead. Jordan Rana climbs to second. Ben Maier stretches a tidy four-week top-half streak. And Michael Bordes pockets the crown, cash, and momentum as we head into the back half of the season.
